Jakarta used to have a bigger gay scene. Following a series of police raids, several gay venues were forced to close. Much of the gay scene has gone underground, and it can be difficult to access the underground scene unless you're a local. But fret not because areas like Kemang and Senopati are filled with gay-friendly lounges, rooftop bars, and clubs.
