شاطئ ماريا لويسا

This is a quite little cove, which is only a few minutes from the main Maria Luisa beach but feels very secluded and is great for getting an all over tan. Contrary to other reviews, this is an unofficial gay beach but sometimes you may be the only one there - not always a bad thing! The beach can be a little hard to find. There are two ways of getting there. Either you can walk west along the main Maria Luisa beach until you hit the rocks then, provided it’s not high tide you can make your way over the rocks and around into the cove (for a couple of hours each side of high tide this route isn’t possible). Alternatively, there is a pathway between the Alfagar Village and Alfagar Aparthotel but this is more of a track once you hit the end of the hotel fences and is very steep so be sure to take appropriate footwear and be careful!

There is nothing gay or nude here, go to joao des arens in Portimao or praia grande de pera (they are cruising spots for those who want)
