Cape Town Gay Clubs

Coco Nightclub is not a gay bar as such but it is gay-popular. This is one of the most high-end venues in Cape Town. It's where the scene queens, fashionistas, hipsters and yuppies come to see and be seen.

No under 23s are allowed in. Champagne bottles are served with sparklers attached.

If you like to be with the "It" crowd then Coco is the place for you.

Pink Candy (formerly Pink Panther Social Club) is an LGBT-popular nightclub in De Waterkant and probably the most popular gay venue in Cape Town.  Though it is mostly a dance club, you can enjoy a drink and socialize with the locals.

The club attracts a mixed, mostly young crowd. Open on Friday and Saturday nights. Entry costs 100 Rand.

StarGayzers is a popular nightclub for gays, lesbians and friends, located in the district of Parow, just outside central Cape Town.

This is quite a spit and sawdust venue: no frills, lots of gays and a good night guaranteed. On Ladies' nights, girls get in free before midnight.

Crew Bar is one of the most popular gay bars in Cape Town's De Waterkant. Here you'll find hunky bartenders and super hot go-go dancers.

It's busiest at weekends. This is a good venue for some late-night debauchery.

Gat Party, also called LGBTQIA Dance, is a monthly LGBT+ party in Cape Town, happening every last Saturday of the month. It attracts an Afrikaans crowd and has a country-western style.

Entrance is 60R and there is usually a theme, but the organizers encourage everyone to come as they are. It's also a Bring Your Own Booze party, soi make sure to come prepared.

Evol is an inclusive space for everyone looking to have a great night out in Cape Town.

Known for its punk rock, hole-in-the-wall vibe, Evol (love spelled backwards) features two dance floors, pool tables, and a stage for live music. You can head downstairs and chill at the bar if you need to catch some air and rehydrate.

The crowd is usually young and alternative, with local rock bands and eclectic DJ sets blowing the roof off the place.
